Facism vs. Communism vs. Socialism
I've posted on this topic before but Dennis Prager does a succinct job of it here:
Misdirected outrage
Here's some background and then the rantings of BLM activist Hawk Newsome, who is reacting to the verdict of a man who was acting not in the interest of himself but of community protection. While it is unfortunate that Jordan Neely died, Daniel Penny is not the problem here. What is the problem is the lack of mental health support for Jordan Neely after his mother was murdered. The criminal activity is the misuse of taxpayer funds. Jordan Neely needed help and the level of support is just not there because governments continue to fund stupid things instead of putting the money where it's needed. That is the real crime.
I am not without sympathy for Jordan Neely, he needed help and did not get it. So he spiraled. But convicting Daniel Penny would be yet another injustice perpetrated the government.
Al Sharpton also reacts, but not to the proposed vigilantism of Hawk Newsome, nor another story in New York (see below), but rather something he can grift from - racism in the verdict. Really Al?
[Note this video continues on after the relevant section ends at roughly 2:54.
Here's something else to which Hawk Newsome was not reacting, a cold blooded assassination in the streets of New York. Luigi Mangione committed an outright assassination on the streets of New York. Where's the outrage on this? Regardless of how you might feel about big pharma, big insurance, big healthcare, assassinations are wrong. Period. Vigilante justice in the streets makes everyone unsafe instead of those suffering from mental health issues and the people they are threatening.
What Daniel Penny did was not vigilantism. It was reacting to a real and imminent threat. Luigi Mangione was being a vigilante. That's what really needs to be prevented.

Meanwhile in Canada, the surge continues
The latest polling shows Pierre Poilievre's conservative party further ahead than I could have possibly imagined. This high water mark does not bode well for an early election in Canada. Where a conservative victory would immediately grant Canada a more Trump-aligned federal government, the polls are so bad for both Trudeau and his not-aligned-but-really-actually-aligned lackey, socialist NDP leader Jagmeet Singh, that there will not be an early election.
As happy as I am to see these numbers, I'm also stunned. Trudeau is currently trying to buy votes with a two month tax holiday and I thought it might help him a little. Turns out, Canadians are smarter or more fed up with Trudeau than I realized. Or both.
This. Is. Massive.
